Lenora J. Poehler, 88, Willow Hill, Illinois passed away at 1:30 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2012, at the Long Term Care Unit of Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, Illinois. Born in Effingham County, Illinois on April 30, 1924, she was the daughter of Albert F. White and Rosa V. (Strong) White. She was a graduate of Teutopolis High School ~ Class of 1942. She was a homemaker and farm wife. Lenora was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Newton, Illinois. Her hobbies included genealogy; painting; was an avid reader; St. Louis Cardinal fan as well as University of Illinois Basketball and especially spending time with her grandkids.
On August 22, 1946, she married Lloyd B. Poehler, who survives. Also surviving is one son, Ted J. Poehler; two daughters, Jane Ruff and Judith & Mark Newbold; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Harold & Doris White and a sister, Norma Copeland.
Preceding Lenora in death were her parents; one brother, Albert White and one great-grandchild, Joshua Fiscus.
Pastor Michael Seidenstricker will officiate the funeral service. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, rural Wheeler, Illinois.
